MYT PRODUCTIONS proudly presents

The most beloved tale of all time is brought to life by MYT this Christmas.

Little Dorothy Gale from Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. After a freak tornado hits her quiet farmhouse home, she is whisked away to the magical land of OZ! Now young Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to meet the mighty Wizard of Oz who holds the power to take her home. On the way she teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion and they all must avoid the clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West, who is trying to steal the mysterious magic slippers that once belonged to her evil sister but are now on Dorothy’s feet.

Join all your favourite characters in this tale of friendship for all the family to enjoy this festive season! Based on the 1939 MGM film, this stage classic features the well-loved songs “Merry Old Land of Oz”, “We’re Off to See the Wizard”, “Ding! Dong! The Witch is Dead” and of course “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”!

Producing high quality, stage productions whilst developing and training young talent in the Manchester area…

Meighan Youth Theatre (MYT) Productions was founded in 2009 when two 15 year old schools boys from Trafford were given council funding to create a theatrical project for young people and since then, MYT has never looked back. Originally known as Meighan and Hodgins Productions, we rebranded in 2011.

Having staged large scale, high quality productions every year since the company was formed, MYT has gone from strength to strength and has given young people the opportunity to perform, develop skills, work behind the scenes and be part of a production team.

Many past members have gone on to study at various Drama Schools in London and across the country such as Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Central School of Speech and Drama, PPA, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, GSA, London School of Musical Theatre and various other prestigious schools.
